Wellness is something that is very important to me. About 4 years ago I changed my life from a junk food junkie who had a chaotic life to a health nut whose main priority is to live a healthy life in all aspects of the word. If I had to grade myself I would say:
Physically I am a 10: I work out everyday, I have ran 4 full marathons and countless half marathons, 5k’s and other races. I life weights, run, bike, swim and do yoga. I am well rounded when it comes to physical activity and I like to stay low in body fat : ) See picture of my abs. Sorry I just had to post it! It is part of blogging right?
Psychologically I would say a 9: Mentally I am very strong, I love life and I love people! I have a good balance of work, family, friends and health. I cope with stress well and meditate to help me relax and keep sane.
Spiritually: I would grade myself an 8. This is where I lack a little bit. I have faith and love life. I meditate and pray but I stubborn when it comes to forgiveness and holding grudges which causes me pain sometimes .I am very giving and selfless.
I must say that I am really impressed. It is so hard for to find the time to go to the gym or even just work out in my house. I went as far as buying the game Zumba for my Wii because I thought it may be easier to fit that into the time that I do have available throughout the day but it is still impossible for me to do that. I am doing well when it comes to junk food like candy and chips, I don’t eat much of that. I never really did eat much candy because it always made my teeth hurt. Now I used to eat chips all the time in high school and not much of anything else but you couldn’t tell. I would like to get where you are at and be able to rate myself at 10s and 9s when it comes to my physical and psychological well being.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! It definitely takes a lot of discipline which I have somedays and others not so much. I have always had a sweet tooth; I love candy and anything with sugar! However, I must say…. When you cut sugar out of your diet you don’t crave it anymore! Chips are my favorite snack! haha I love the crunch! I force myself to eat rice cakes instead so that I can still have the crunch without the fat and calories.
DeleteCongratulations on turning your life around and making such a positive impact on your physical health:)
