Ahhhhhh....

From the moment the music started I felt more relaxed. I am a go go go type of person and have a hard time relaxing, or should I say just sitting doing nothing. I constantly have to be doing something with my hands or mind or I don't feel right. I guess you could call it A.D.D! The relaxation exercise was very nice and much needed! When I try and relax my mind is going 100mph and I end up feeling worse than I did before I tried to relax. I have a busy lifestyle and so much going on that it is hard to rest my mind. This exercise was awesome because I had a calming voice telling me what to do. It gave me something to listen to instead of my mind wondering all over the place thinking about the next thing I had to get done. After the exercise I felt a lot better. I am going to take some time everyday to listen to a short relaxation exercise. I am so refreshed!

  1. I am also the type of person who has a hard time relaxing. I am always doing something. I can try to just sit down with the tv off put my phone away and just relax my mind but I cant do it. I find myself having to do something. It is hard for me to also find to to relax due to work and class work. When the excercise started though I was actually able to relax. I am also going to try to find time everyday to do more relaxation excercises, because when i did this one I just felt like I had a lot of energy. I was suprised that I didnt get bored from it and start falling to sleep.

  2. Hey Margaret,
They say a clear conscious is the softest pillow, have you ever tried doing a daily inventory? I love the honesty of your statement "I was surprised I didn't get bored and fall asleep". That was me when I first started doing meditation Sensei told me that I had learned to relax now I must learn to focus!
    Great Stuff!
    Peace

  3. Hello Margaret, reading your post made me want to go back and listen to the tape again.I love listening to soft music but I found the voice of the man a little irritating.
